Having enjoyed a close relationship with and printed for Oxford Preservation Trust for decades, Holywell Press is now supporting this local charity through Corporate Membership.

Oxford Preservation Trust (OPT) was founded in 1927 and aims to enhance Oxford by encouraging thoughtful development and new design, while protecting historic buildings and open spaces. It looks after 1,000 acres of Oxford’s green spaces and undertakes historic building conservation.
The Trust encourages public participation in Oxford’s heritage through its annual Oxford Open Doors event, usually spanning a September weekend. The scheme opens some of the city’s most significant historic buildings to the public and welcomes over 30,000 visitors to 148 venues and events.
In 1977, OPT established its annual awards to encourage the best in new architecture, landscape design, and conservation across the city. Celebrating projects that make a significant contribution to Oxford’s character, streets, green spaces, and communities, OPT Award winners are awarded a coveted plaque.

printing partnership
Holywell has been working with Oxford Preservation Trust for many decades, and has printed everything from stationery, newsletters, leaflets, posters, and event programmes to membership cards, appeal mailings, annual reports, certificates, and Christmas cards.
From 1998-2004, Holywell’s then Managing Director, Peter Burrows, served as an OPT Trustee, during which time Holywell stopped printing for the charity to avoid a conflict of interest.
Ben Burrows, Holywell’s current Managing Director, comments, “We’ve long recognised the important and valued contribution that OPT makes to the city. With our own history spanning almost 140 years, you could say we’re part of Oxford’s heritage that the Trust works so hard to protect and promote. It’s only natural that we should want to support their achievements through Corporate Membership.”
carbon balanced printing
As Holywell is a Carbon Balanced Printer, OPT has opted to Carbon Balance its latest newsletter, reflecting the importance it places on organisational and print sustainability. Copies of the newsletter will proudly display the Carbon Balanced Print logo on the back page.
